Present and Accounted For

Barack Obama, much like Hillary Clinton, has been planning, scheming and grooming himself for years to be President of the United States. On his road trip to the Oval Office he made sure no one would ever really take notice of him and his voting record. Obama did not want to ruffle any feathers with anyone earning himself the label of anti-this or pro-that. To avoid any alienation and in effort to be everything to everyone he cast Senate votes of "Present" an overwhelming majority of of his 143 day tenure in the Senate.

Manchurian Candidate anyone?

Inexperienced

Ever since Sarah Palin was introduced as the vice presidential running mate of John McCain the Obama campaign has gone to great lengths to smear her reputation.

First it was her teenage daughter when the liberal smear machine claimed that her son Trig - born with Down's Syndrome - was actually her daughter's and not her own. When it turned out her daughter was pregnant the media had a field day with Palin's gubernatorial agenda of teaching abstinence in schools.claiming Palin was an unfit mother and that she should be a stay-at-home mother rather than run for political office.

Once that didn't work they moved on to the claim that she was inexperienced, the same claim the liberal media madmen pronounced in 2000 in regard to the current president (I even recently had someone claim he still wasn't qualified...???).

This should be an open and shut case because Sarah Palin has been the governor of the largest (land mass) state in the union which happens to border only to our northern neighbors, the Canadians. So obvioulsy she had to have had some international diplomatic experience. Even is she didn't she would still be on the same level as Obama whose only foreign relations experience was having a father who was from Africa.

Sarah Palin, as I heard a TV pundit report recently, is the only one fo the four candidates - presidential and vice presidential - that has ever signed the front of a paycheck. This is not intended to demean McCain or Joe Biden as they both have had distinguished careers in the Senate, but rather is points to the inadequacies of Barack Obama. Obama has never managed a business or even an organization. He never even manged to call to order a meeting of the Senate committee of which he was a chairman.

When it comes to experience Obama's is "Palin" in comparison to Sarah's.

Joe Biden: Be More Patriotic

Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden last week on "Good Morning America" made this statement:

“We want to take money and put it back in the pocket of middle-class people. It’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut.”

Is there anyone else out there in which this statement generates the reaction of scraping fingernails on a chalkboard?

I am fed up with this class warfare that politicians are continuously peddling. They have successfully been able to breed hatred of achievers in those who have not achieved. The eeeeeeeeevil rich 1% of income earners in this country have been vilified by Democrats and as former Representative Dick Gephardt stated, "Won life's lottery."

These same politicians serve the "working class" Kool Aid as often as the sun rises. They have gotten the citizenry to buy into the idea that if you are successful and have amassed wealth then you do not actually work for a living. If you aren't digging ditches, working for minimum wage or working for someone else then you don't work, but rather you exploit those who do work.

If you discuss the issue of taxes with a liberal long enough you will most definitely hear something like, "Well, they [the rich] don't really need all that money anyway." Who the hell are you to say what someone else needs or doesn't need. In my opinion that should be left to the Man upstairs. And really, who cares what one person needs or doesn't need...they worked for and earned that money so it should be theirs to dispense of how they so choose, not the government.

I could write pages and pages on this issue, but I'm sure I am preaching to the choir at this point. Don't fret, though, as I am sure another post on taxes will most certainly will be in the future - and often. Until then please check out these two related links:

Launching of New Website

I have had an Internet presence with my website of cartoons and comments online for some years. The first incarnation appeared in mid-2001 and lasted for a couple of years until it ended when a friend, whose personal server hosted the site, needed to drop it to make room for his customers.

On that site I posted my cartoons and my graphic design portfolio. I had the idea to "kill two birds with one stone," but was told by an advertising professional that I shouldn't post my decidedly conservative cartoons with my portfolio as the advertising industry is an overwhelmingly liberal field.

I guess independents aren't well-liked either as I had found myself a victim of liberal prejudice a year earlier.

After all this when I finally decided to put my cartoons on Al Gore's invention for a second time I decided to make it solely for my political/editorial cartoons and rants. However, to update it seemed like such a labor intensive chore that I didn't do it often enough.

Now I am embarking on another alteration to this website, one that will enable me to update it more frequently and easily... and this will be a must with the abundance of material flowing throughout this election season.

An added bonus to this new site is that viewers will now be able to comment on my cartoons and rants... and this is what I have always intended, but my technological know-how is rather lacking.

I hope you all will enjoy this wild ride these next few weeks... I know I will!

Remember to vote November 4th!
