From Each According to Their Ability ...
Barack Obama promising to raise taxes on the top 5% of income earners - the eeeeeeeeeevil rich - one should be compelled to ask the question: Does Obama have any economic knowledge whatsoever?
Does he not realize that raising taxes on those people will hurt our economy and push it farther into the fiscal black hole? That extra money that he is going to force small business owners to pay could be used to create more jobs either within his own company or within other companies with which he does business? No matter how you slice it tax increases are wrong for our free market and our country.
I have often heard the argument that the rich should pay more taxes because after all they don't really need all that money and they can afford it.
I do not know about you but that sounds a lot like "...From each according to their ability to each according to their need..." which is straight from Karl Marx's The Communist Manifesto.

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship." -Alexander Tyler. This pretty much sums up Obama's intentions. I found this in Neil Boortz's article "to the undecided voter" which can be found here http://boortz.com/nuze/undecided.html
