In the wake of the charges against the group of United States Marines for the Haditha "massacre" (as the media call it) – the Marines allegedly killed innocent civilians after they lost a fellow Marine to an IED, or roadside bomb – Atlanta Journal and Constitution cartoonist, Mike Luckovich, painted a rather unfavorable portrait of these Marines as being no better than the al Qaida murderous terrorists that sawed off the head of Nick Berg as well as others. You can view said cartoon, which was oringinally titled, by Luckovich, "Pot to Kettle", by clicking here An interesting twist to this story, though, is that some ballistic experts are now viewing the videotape – which the media constantly run when talking about this incident – because someone brought it to the attention of the Marines that the shell casings on the floor in the scene, supposedly from the Marines' weapons, were actually those of an AK-47...which by the way is not standard U.S. military firearm. So the claims of the Marines, that they returned fire and did not go on a killing rampage to avenge their comrade, seem to be close to being validated. Will we hear an apology from Mr. Luckovich or the other "insurgents" in the liberal media? In the words of Mike Meyers from "Wayne's World", "Sha-hah! Right!" |
