al Kerry

When the media and liberals in our country – I know, the two are synonomous – criticize our military, and their efforts and presence in the Middle East fighting terrorism, they do more harm than good. When they parallel the War On Terror to the Vietnam War – in terms of the death toll– they encourage and enable the terrorists to keep fighting.

The terrorists hear someone like Ted Kennedy say that the War on Terror is becoming "another Vietnam," and stay the course of their goal: destroy America and its soliders and civilians. The entire world knows about the Vietnam War, and how we lost in the neighborhood of 60,000 soldiers. During that time, the anti-war protestors and the media were demanding our government to cut and run.

The government finally acquiesced.

No one wanted, and still today no one wants, to see American soldiers come home in body bags. Though I would venture to say that the anti-America liberals wouldn't mind it. After all, they want to see America weakened and what better way than a decreased military force.

John Kerry is that kind of liberal...of sorts. I don't think he wants to see our soldiers killed, but he has admitted that he wanted to see America weakened in order to be on a more level playing field with the international community. Liberals willingly admit they think America is too powerful, and that it shouldn't have that much power.

To that, all I have to say is: Aren't you glad it's your country that is the 800 lb. gorilla? Aren't you glad it's your country that is the most powerful? When past 'empires' have ruled, the governments were ruthless and murderous toward their citizenry. They invaded other countries just to expand their empire. Has the United States done that? No. We have freed countries from oppressive regimes.

However, liberals try to say that Bush and Cheney sent our troops into Iraq and Afghanistan for oil and Halliburton, the company for which Cheney used to work. Hogwash! But again, this encourages the terrorists.
