| In May of 2004, an American civilian named Nick Berg was in Iraq working to help rebuild when he was captured by Islamic terrorists and subsequently beheaded on video. The video was posted, by the Islamic terrorists, on the Internet. It was truly a horrific ordeal. You may have heard talking heads and pundits proclaim that by speaking out publicly, to the media, and denouncing our military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, one would actually be giving some momentum to the cause of the Islamic terrorists. They claim it grows the fervor within these terrorists and gives them the extra "support" to keep killing Americans and American soldiers. If that is truly the case, and I do believe it to be so, then the liberals in this country are aiding the enemy in this war. Whether it's Hillary Clinton saying that Iraqi women were better off under Saddam Hussein's reign, Senator Teddy Kennedy calling this war "another Vietnam", or Senator Dick Durbin equating our men and women in uniform to the Nazis of Hitler's Germany, these liberals are seemingly going out of their way to criticize and deface our wonderful military. In 2004, especially since it was a presidential election year, the Democrats seemed to be on an endless jihad about how terrible America and our military is rather than to rebuke the real villains in this war. It was just "politics as usual" for the Left. It was so blatant that one had to ask, "Is there an agenda?" But of course. Liberals cannot wipe their noses without an agenda. Then again, there are conservatives who have agendas as well, but at least they support the military. |
