| During the 2004 campaign, there were two phrases that John Kerry would be guaranteed to utter at every appearance: 1) "I served in Vietnam," and 2) "I have a plan." The only thing I can say about this topic is to relate to you a story. My niece, Mary Ashley, who was 6 years old at the time (Fall 2004), was riding in the car with my mother. Mary being the little chatterbox she is, started, "Grandmommy, you know that man who wants to be president?" My mother inquired, "Do you mean John Kerry?" "Yes, that's the one," Mary Ashley answered. "He says he has a plan for this and a plan for that. But he hasn't told us what those plans are." Priceless.
