| On June 30, 2004, the United States handed control and power in Iraq over to the Iraqi government, despite the perfunctory naysaying of the Left Wing. They told us for months that it would be impossible to hand over control by July 1st, the stated deadline. Liberals told us there was no way we could do it, that it was a quagmire, and thousands of lives would be lost. However, the military did it, and a day early. Kudos to our military! Oh, and you should've heard the Left afterwards. It was the wrong thing to do, Iraq is not stable enough to accept control. But before we handed it over, they were saying the exact opposite. They were saying we needed to get our troops out of there and we needed to hand over control instead of "occupying" Iraq. Well, we did it, and the liberals hate it, of course, becuase it makes Bush look good. The antics and the cries of the Left lead me to think that whatever is good for America is bad for liberals and vice versa. Actions speak much louder than words. |
